Feb. 25 (Bloomberg) — President Lee Myung Bak, South Korea’s first president with a business background, pledged to cut taxes and speed up deregulation to encourage investment and boost economic growth.

Veteran sports execs Doug Perlman and Steve Solomon, entrepreneur Bryan McBride and private equity exec Paul Levy are opening up shop as Accrue Sports and Entertainment Ventures, LLC, a combo investment/operating/consulting firm with a focus on "unique opportunities arising from the convergence of sports with the media, entertainment and technology sectors."

Investment Banks’ Fee Revenue Rises For Fifth Year - Report (Nasdaq)
LONDON -(Dow Jones)- Fee revenue generated by global investment banking rose for the fifth consecutive year in 2007, according to a report Monday from International Financial Services London, which provides research and statistics to the financial services industry.
